Origin Story
Our story is probably very much like your story, with twists and turns that bring you here today. We were founded during the COVID-19 pandemic at the height of uncertainty.
My son - who was born in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic - is the reason Evergreen Activewear exists. After having spent months at home and effectively losing my event planning business, I needed something to keep me sane and generally healthy. That’s where my workouts came in. I’ve always needed movement and physical activity to thrive. This became increasingly more important during quarantine.

In a time of chaos, I needed something to focus on, and every day I got myself out of bed to exercise. Aside from baking, it was the only constant. When COVID hit, I spent most of the first two months rescheduling my clients' events, and then, there wasn’t much else to do. This may seem irrelevant when it comes to creating a new maternity activewear line, but I found solace in my workouts, it quickly became apparent that I couldn’t find any pieces that fit my changing body, or provided the support I needed for the workouts I was doing.
I wanted activewear that combined comfort, style, accessibility, sustainability, and support. I also wanted to be able to sit on my spin bike comfortably. Did any of you have trouble finding maternity cycling shorts? Trust me, in the spring of 2020, they didn’t exist. I got creative — buying everything that might fit and rigging it together — and these shorts became our initial prototype. They worked, but I realized there was a need for better activewear, something that could be worn throughout an entire pregnancy and beyond; that adjusts to your ever-changing body.
I created a team of badass women and mothers, and we put together exactly what we thought the market needed. It was a priority for us to work with women throughout the entire process. We were able to design activewear that fits our changing needs. We created eco-friendly activewear that helps you feel strong, empowered, and supported, while lasting you through multiple pregnancies (if you choose to have them).
